50 Cent is bummed that his ‘Power’ never gets included in the Emmys list. The Shade Room notes that every year, the Emmy nominations are rolling out for the past five years.
‘Power’ has been absent from the list and it seems that now, 50 Cent became fed up with this and decided to speak on the subject.
According to TSR, 50 Cent said he thinks ‘Power being overlooked by the Emmys over the years was racial given the predominantly black cast despite the show’s success, @abcnews reports.’
‘I like to say it’s racial. That’s the easy way to get out of things,’ said 50 Cent, who serves as executive producer of the series, during a panel discussion Friday at the Television Critics Association Press Tour:
‘People who are running and connected to these ceremonies are not necessarily cool people.’

Someone addressed the haters who claimed that Power is simply not good enough: ‘Y’all wildin. Power is amazing. Its getting snubbed but not by no race factors.’
Another commenter said: ‘Agreed. They shoulda had an emmy after season 1.’
A person said: ‘Ooor it’s just not good enough? There are so many other black shows that were nominated sooopo…’
One follower posted: ‘I mean why do y’all expect to get nominated & receive awards from these white awards. Need to take notes from J. Cole. 💯’
A person said: ‘I wonder why we keep seeking endorsement from these institutions that don’t want to have anything to do with us.’
A follower said: ‘Black people love white people approval and then when they don’t get it they say it’s racism 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ Stockholm syndrome is real.’
