Missing Liam Buchan Update; Help find Dundee Teenager Last Seen in Angus

A 15-year-old Dundee youngster who got into trouble in an Angus river over the weekend is still being sought after.


On Saturday at around 16:45, Liam Buchan was with family and friends at the River North Esk close to the community of Edzell when the alarm went off.

The coastguard, police, fire, and ambulance services joined together to initiate a multi-agency response.
On Monday, the river was searched once more, but the adolescent has not been located.

Additionally aiding are mountain rescue teams and specialised police officers from the police dive and marine section.
Officers are also helping Liam’s family through this trying time and keeping them informed as our search goes on, according to Insp. Grant McGaughay.The local community in Edzell and other search-related organisations are to be thanked by Liam’s family for their assistance thus far.

They also want to caution people not to put themselves in risk while looking for Liam if they are not properly trained or equipped.
