ESPN star analyst Kirk Herbstreit's son has suffered an undisclosed health issue that needed medical attention.
Zak Herbstreit, junior tight end for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team, was hospitalized Tuesday.
Details about the injury and situation are unclear at the moment, but the father, Kirk, spoke and shared a message.
"His family is with him and appreciate everyone's concerns and prayers," Kirk Herbstreit told ABC 6.
According to Ohio State, Zak is in stable condition and being monitored and evaluated at OSU's Wexner Medical Center.
He's the son of former Ohio State star quarterback Kirk Herbstreit, one of college football's biggest and most known analysts.

But the Ohio State ties don't stop at his father.
His grandfather, Jim, played for the Buckeyes and was named a captain during his time.
Zak's mother also attended the school and was a cheerleader.
His older brother, Tye, plays football for Clemson, and his younger brother, Chase, is being recruited by the Buckeyes to play quarterback.
